The main attraction of this preseason romp (other than the cheerleaders), was to get a firsthand look at the Jets 1st round prayer, Mark Sanchez.

The quarterback battle between Kellen Clemens and Mark Sanchez looks to be a one sided war. After seeing Sanchez in action it’s evident he can bring more to the table than Clemens can, though Sanchez played sparingly in his 1st professional outing, he threw passes with the swagger and poise of a 3-year veteran and due to the immediate success of quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan, NFL teams are more inclined to throw they’re rookie QBs into the ring and have them learn as they play rather than hold a clipboard on the sidelines for a year.

Whomever the coaching staff decides to start at QB is in a good position to flourish this year, with a decent running game with elder Thomas Jones, Leon lighting Washington, and rookie Doak Walker (collegiate running back of the year) recipient Shonn Green.

The receiving corps lead by scrappy Jericho Cotchery has new life with highly touted TE Dustin Keller who wowed the stadium with his run after the catch that almost ended up with a touchdown.

The defense is loaded this year with pro bowl talent like Bart Scott, Jim Leonard, Kris Jenkins, Kerry Rhodes, Calvin Pace and Darrel Revis…No word yet on the former #2 overall tweener, Vernon Gholston or as I call Ghost-on because he has yet to be seen as anything but a memory, hopefully this is the year he lives up to his hype.

All in all I doubt these Jets will be the paper planes we’ve been used to over the past years; I predict an 8-8 record Green team.

O yea the Rams played too, and actually won 23-20 but it was preseason so it doesn’t mean anything…we laughed we cried we fell asleep, that’s about all you need to know about the “former”- greatest show on turf.

LET VICK PLAY!!!

Former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was released from federal prison after a 20 month stint for running a dog-fighting kennel.

After spending nearly 2 years at a “different” kind of off-season camp, his task now is to plead his case for Full reinstatement to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Vick can take part in preseason practices, meetings and the last two preseason games if he is signed before then BUT he won’t be considered for Full-reinstatement to be able to play in any regular season games until week 6 (October 18-19th) at the latest.

Personally I feel this is outrageous, Vick might as well wear bells around his ankles because he is an Untouchable. No team wants him because they fear the reaction of their fan based or better yet the reaction of PETA fanatics, but at the same time every team wants him because of what he can bring to the table. Vick is like the ugly girl you liked in school but didn’t want your boys to know. As history shows us that ugly duckling turns into a swan and many teams are going to feel stupid when he rushes for 100+ yards on them and they didn’t pick him up when they could’ve because of “intangibles”.

The fallen superstar has paid his debt to society and recently filed for bankruptcy. The league he’s energized for years with his exciting, record breaking quarterbacking should now have his back and fully reinstate him immediately.

Meanwhile Cleveland wide-out, Dante Stallworth, gets drunk at some night club, drives his Bentley sedan and strikes Mario Reyes, killing him instantly.

24 days out of a 30 day sentence and the human-life ender is a free man. Where are the picket signs and the public out-cry Vick received?

I realize what Vick did was wrong and that a Dog is man’s best friend. But the time doesn’t fit the crime in both of these situations.          Let Vick Play
