Intros that played with Super Prep team are added to Intro All Star team.

The intermediates that played with the Super Prep team last season, have been added to the Intro All Star roster and will be allowed to play this Spring.  If you see this post, contact Coach Ray immediately for details, and come to the practice today Sunday Jan 31 @ 1pm – @ Pelham Bay Park

All Star Pre Registration set for Feb 6th in Brooklyn

Jr. ECFL Pre Registration will take place Feb 6th in Brooklyn, after the All Star Practice.  Players need to bring with them a copy of their report cards, a copy of their birth certificates, and a copy of their school identification. If your school does not require ID, then a note from your school that you are registered.   A registration fee of 10 (ten) dollars will be charged, to pay for both the Spring registration for the Jr East Coast Football League, and the Gridiron Elite as well.

The Official Jr. East Coast Football League registration will take place Feb 13th in Queens.  More details will follow.

Rebel Parent All Stars

There are many players and parents that I meet, and introduce to certain aspects of the program, making them either Pee Wees, Intermediates, or Super Prep players.  I walk in, say hello, then rush to cover the team I am working with, or discuss operational focus for the week, or many other issues that arise during the season.  I have to admit, most of the time I may not say hello, or give the cheerful greeting all expect, but I notice all of the time,  devotion, support and love that is given to our kids, and this program, and wish to thank those parents that come to mind as Rebel Parent All Stars -

David Encarnacion  – Mr. Encarnacion is a Super All Star – he has had 2 generations,  his son and his grandson play for the Rebels, and both have shined.

There are many more to name, but time and space will not allow for now.  All of the parents that are Rebel All Stars will be named soon, and awarded.

I may not always say it  but thank you to all those mentioned, and yet to be mentioned.

All star practice has been cancelled for this Saturday due to the frigid temps.  Practice will resume Sunday Jan 31st @ Pelham Bay Par@ 1pm.  Be sure to dress in layers and bring water with you.

Coach Blake moved to Operations

With the success and growth of Bronx Rebels Youth Football, there are changes to be made to keep the operation a success.  All of those changes will be announced on this website. The first is the “promotion” of Coach Blake to Operations, in charge of Collegial and Prep School recruitment. Those desiring to move onward to High School and College from the Rebel program, will be able to contact Coach Blake with transcript information, and he will make the necessary contacts on behalf of the program. Coach Blake will also introduce new initiatives into our program, such as NCAA
Clearinghouse information, detailed recruitment information, as well as Prep School contacts throughout the country.

Of course, with this change -there is a new Head Coach for the Pee Wee Division.  Our coaches for all divisions will be announced next week, including the new Pee Wee, Intro  and Super Prep Head Coaches.

Congratulations Coach Blake on your new duties.  A well deserved “promotion”.
