IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO REGISTER FOR OUR PROGRAM. COME TO THE HOME OF CHAMPIONS – THE BRONX REBELS, -  EVANDER CHILDS HS FIELD – 800 EAST GUN HILL ROAD, EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENING @  7 AND SATURDAY MORNING @ 10 AM  PEE WEES AGES 10 -12 // INTERMEDIATES AGES 14 TO 16 // SUPER PREP AGES 17-19. THERE ARE NO WEIGHT LIMITS IN OUR PROGRAM.

GRIDIRON ELITE YOUTH CLINIC @ THE HOME OF THE ELITE

THE GRIDIRON ELITE PRESENTS THE NYC YOUTH FOOTBALL COMBINE – SATURDAY MAY 1ST @ 8:30 AM, @ EVANDER CHILDS HS ATHLETIC FIELD – HOME OF THE BRONX REBELS AND THE GRIDIRON ELITE.

THERE WILL BE COACHES FROM PROMINENT PREP SCHOOLS, AS WELL AS EXPERIENCED SEASONED YOUTH COACHES THAT WILL BE CONDUCTING THE CLINIC, AND SCOUTING TALENT FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE TALENT, COME AND BE A PART OF A FUN FILLED FOOTBALL DAY.

Super Prep team begins championship chase

The Rebels Super Prep team, just off last season’s success, has begun practice for the spring season. Though this team is not fielding for the Spring, they are working with the new Gridiron Elite All Star team – the NorthEast Elite. There are a number of players that have been invited to participate in the Elite All Star season.  We will begin to feature these players in the upcoming weeks, as well as say goodbye to players that are moving on in their careers.

Pee Wees and Intros Prepare for Spring Season

The Pee Wee and Intro Rebels are practicing hard to compete in the 1st Gridiron  Elite Spring Football season, starting April 17th.  The Staten Island Bandits, Brooklyn Wolfpack, Bronx Kings are among the competition this spring. Practice is Tuesday, Thursday evenings @ 7 and Saturday mornings @ 10am. Come out to claim your spot!! Championship Bound – Believe That!!

Practice for Tues 3/23 is cancelled

Pee Wees and Intros will resume practice Thursday night @ 7:00 pm

Super Prep Div will practice with the Intros until the Elite All Star games are completed, unless you have been chosen to play with the Elite.  See Coach Ray for clarification.

NorthEast Elite will practice be Wednesday night @ 7:30 – in full gear!!

REBELS BEGIN COLLEGIAC CLUB PROGRAM

The Rebels are now adding a new level to our roster of teams. Now players between the ages of 20 to 24 can now play Collegiac Club Football. We are now part of the New England Football League Yankee Collegiac Division. All games will be played on college campuses.

The new  Conference boasts College Club teams such as the University of Maine, University of Vermont, Clarkson,  and Boston University. As of right now, our opening game will be on the campus of Boston University.

Players that are intersted in playing with this team, can join now, and play with the newly formed NORTHEAST ELITE Collegiac Development Team, as they compete in the Gridiron Elite Tournament.

SPRING PRACTICE BEGINS – CALLING ALL PEE WEE, INTRO AND SUPER PREP PLAYERS

Football practice has begun!!  Tuesday and Thursday evening @ 6:45pm  and Saturday morning  at 10 am. All players must see the parent committee for attendance and sign up. Spring football begins April 17th

Opening practice for all levels begins March 16

Tuesday evening – 7 pm, the Rebels take the field for the 2010 season with spring practice.  Spring games begin April 17th.  Practice sessions will be for the Pee Wee, Intermediate and Super Prep levels, and will be with helmets only. All helmets must be in compliance with Rebel colors, which means you must either have your current helmet certified and painted in our color, or purchase a  new helmet. All helmets must be Crimson  before the start of the Spring season, or you will not be allowed to participate. See Coach Blake regarding equipment.

Make sure your name appears on our rosters so you can receive our player manual this weekend.

HOMEGOING SERVICES FOR SYDNEY’S MOTHER – MICHELE KARR

THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SYDNEY KARR’S MOM MICHELE ARE NOW FINALIZED. THE SERVICES WILL BE WEDNESDAY MORNING – 9AM – AT THE CHURCH OF THE NAZERENE – 971 EAST 227TH STREET NEAR PAULDING AVENUE. THE TELEPHONE NUMBER TO THE CHURCH IS 718-515-4633. FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE SENT TO THE CHURCH. THE BURIAL WILL TAKE PLACE JUST AFTER THE SERVICES AT WOODLAWN CEMETARY.

LET’S SUPPORT OUR YOUNG MAN. AS HE TOLD ONE OF OUR PARENTS OVER THE WEEKEND, HIS MOTHER WAS ALL HE HAD. SYDNEY HAS NO OTHER FAMILY, OTHER THAN HIS CHURCH FAMILY, AND HIS FOOTBALL FAMILY.

REBEL PLAYER NEEDS OUR HELP AND SUPPORT IN TIME OF NEED

Sidney Karr, whom we we all know affectionately as as “Penn State”, defensive back for the Super Prep team in 2009, lost his mother to illness earlier this week.  Unfortunately, not being prepared for a time like this, Sidney is trying to raise money to bury his mom. He is in need of $1000.00 toward final expenses for the funeral.
